Salesman
A Native born Texan, I've been Writing, Drawing and Painting since I was a kid and, for the last fourteen years, Selling furniture to Consumers. I like to think I enhance their "buying experience" with my artistic eye and decades of exposure to the Fashion and Luxury Goods Advertising World as a Freelance Illustrator and Copy Writer. But I've noticed, sadly, most Furniture Buying Customers could care less about my experience.
Pity. There's a lot a Customer could do to get more and better advise, information, Discounts and genuine Customer Service during the Buying Process if only they knew how to 'launch' their Salesman to perform like a Champion.
So, I've written a Novel. It's a conversation really, between two just such Salesmen: Wally, the elder, more experienced and slightly bored Traditionalist and Demo, the younger, eager-to-please and tragically naive Newbie. Want to know what they're really struggling with when you tell them, "just looking?" Maybe it would be worth your time to find out, just in case you decide to go Shopping.
Remember, All Commissioned Salesmen are operating from the same platform, whether they're selling Cars, Homes, Yachts, Oil Leases, Jewelrey, Furniture or anything else with a percentage of reward tied to it. And it's always wise to know who you're dealing with in the Market Place, so with that intent in mind, Read On, Dear Consumer, Read On!!
